Blogging is hard!  But I am going to try to gather my thoughts from this past week.  The team from Chicago taught classes in Bible, Puppets, Balloons(making animals and such) and Dance at the Ruano's church.  I ended up in the dance class which is so funny because I am so not a dancer.  We learned "Musica Por Dentro" by Tercer Cielo.  I have a new appreciation for what dancers go through now that I've experienced it for myself!  The classes were on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and then on Saturday the students all received certificates for completing their training.  The people who took the classes were all involved in children's ministries at different churches.  The majority of them were young adults.

Saturday afternoon we went to Zone 18 in Guatemala City for an outreach.  The team did their puppet sketch, a group performed the dance and they made balloon animals for the kids.  It was raining really hard on Saturday and we were supposed to be outside on the street somewhere.  But instead we ended up in a covered space.  When we first got there, there was no one around, but then a few kids came and before we knew it the place was packed!  Dan and Donna Zellner, missionaries with Servents 4 Him, were there because they live only a few minutes away from where we were.  The coolest thing on Saturday was giving away shoes to the kids.  It was a little chaotic, but eventually we got a line going and did our best to match up shoe sizes to the kids.

Sunday I got to help out with Sunday School again.  We had more time being combined in the beginning because the team did puppets and a memory verse together.  I love the songs that we sing in the Sunday School- the kids all get into it with motions that the teachers lead in- the teachers might be more excited then the kids at times haha.  All of the teachers are late teens/early twenties.

Sunday afternoon we went to another church for their service at 3.  It was a really long service-three hours!  The team performed a interpretative song sketch (I don't know if that's what you call it or what but it's when they act out the song) and their puppet show again. The pastor from the team preached and then I performed the dance along with three others in front of the whole church. I'm guessing it was between 150 and 200 people there that night.

Monday was a fun day- we visited the Kendall's in Antigua and went to the market.  It was my second time to the market, so I was excited.  There are so many colors and patterns to look at.  I did end up buying a few things, bracelets and such, but I didn't exchange all my money so I am planning on going back to Antigua before I come back to the States.

I don't feel like this is a very good post- there was so much to cover!  I feel like it's been forever since I did a post, though it's only been a little over a week.  I'll try to make my next post a little less all over the place and more interesting :)  Email me! I would love to hear from you!  And thank you all for your prayers!  Now that the team is gone I'm back to learning Spanish- picking up a little everyday.
